Delivery

How can I place an order?

Standard items can be ordered online, by telephone on 01684 540033(please always leave a message and we will return your call if we are unavailable) or by visiting the workshop (by arrangement).  Bespoke orders cannot be taken on-line.  We always respond quickly to emails.

When do I pay for my furniture?

If you order on-line using a credit or debit card, the full amount will be taken when the order is placed.

If you order by phone, by letter or in person we will take a 50% deposit with the order and process the balance on your card prior to delivery.  If you pay by cheque this should be made payable to Alan Eldridge Ltd and you should allow 5 working days for your cheque to clear before we can deliver.

How long will my order take?

Shaker boxes and standard pegrail are usually all in stock and these will be delivered within 3 - 4 days.  Furniture is made to order and will be delivered within 6 – 8 weeks.  If you need your furniture more quickly, please telephone or email as we may be able to assist.

Will the furniture fit in my house?

It is your responsibility to check this prior to placing the order.  We will be happy to discuss this with you if you would like to phone or email. 

How much is delivery?

Delivery costs vary depending on the value of your order and your location and will be displayed prior to you placing your order on line.  If you are ordering by phone we will be happy to give you a delivery quote.

Can I specify a delivery time?

We are unable to specify a time for smaller items sent by courier.  For larger items, we will normally arrange a time slot of three hours.  You may not be able to specify the date but if this is a problem please telephone or email before placing your order as we may be able to assist.

Can I collect my furniture?

Yes we would be delighted if you visited us at our workshop to collect your furniture. 

How can I track my order?

You can track progress of your order by email or phone though we can only give final confirmation of your delivery when your order is completed.

What is the returns policy?

If there is obvious damage to the consignment, you should refuse to accept the damaged parcel and ask the carrier to return the goods to us.  Any damage discovered after unpacking must be reported within 3 days.  Most items are made to order and can only be returned if they are faulty.  If there is a problem please re-package the item and we will arrange collection.

Is there anything else I should know?

For ease of delivery our beds do not come fully assembled and will require some self assembly.  This is very simple and the instructions are very clear, however if you would prefer us to do this for you there will be an extra charge of £60.

Our drivers will take larger items of furniture into your house as required, but may need assistance.  If this will not be practical, let us know at the time of ordering or when booking delivery and we can make alternative arrangements.
